Do you know your juice?

If you are a shop owner, or work in a shop, you are getting bombarded with samples of new juices every day. Every guy with a bath tub and internet connection is trying to become the next big juice company. I’m not here to stomp on the American dream; I support the growth of the industry, and the drive and commitment it takes to make juice. Making GOOD juice is a long process, and it’s not as easy as it sounds. However, more and more shop owners are becoming concerned with those smaller juice lines that are not being manufactured in sterile environments. Why are they concerned? The “well being” and health of their customers, obviously! ….aaannndddd they don’t want to get sued.
Bottom line, the industry is still new. Very few studies have been performed on the long term effects of vaping. We think its “safe” but in all honesty, we don’t have proof. So, why would you add an additional threat by vaping juice that was mixed in some strangers kitchen? Shit, I wouldn’t eat out of half of my friends’ kitchens, so a stranger is out of the question. Bacteria can live on surfaces, and can easily be transferred into the juice by the juice maker simply not washing their hands. Juice is high in sugars, and kept at room temperature, which is a playground for bacteria. You don’t want bacterial in your lungs, trust me on that. Best case scenario, you don’t get bacterial in your juice….it’s just a hair… or a bug.
Know your juice; it’s as simple as that. Ask where it comes from, and where it’s being made. As a general rule, companies that you see online and in your local shops, are more than likely going to be safe.
